Moving is an emotional process. It can represent growth, new beginnings and an exciting change. But the moving transition can also be very stressful. People often try to second-guess themselves, wondering if they made a good decision.
From my experience helping clients make a move, I know of specific things that you can do to lessen the stress of moving.
1. Understand that your jitters are perfectly normal; you've just made a major commitment.
2. Ask questions throughout the process. Part of my job is to provide you with information and keep you informed so that you are confident about your decisions.
3. Let me help you ease the transition to your new environment. I can provide you with information on your new neighborhood, school districts, and more.
4. Keep an emergency fund for unexpected costs that may crop up during the move or as you set up your new household.
5. Remember to have some fun during the process. Try to take your mind off the move for a little while.
When you are ready to list your home, I will handle the marketing, negotiating, and follow-up details of the transaction, so all you have to do is pack. Open and regular communication is key. This is one of my team's top priorities by keeping clients informed each step of the process while being available when they need us. Together we will make this move a smooth transition and eliminate as much undue stress as possible.
Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions about making a move or it would like additional information on how to start this process.
